Meghan Markle heckled at ESPY awards

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, found herself in an unexpected and uncomfortable situation during her appearance at the ESPY Awards. While attending the star-studded event, Markle was subjected to a heckling incident that left many onlookers shocked.

Reports suggest that during the evening, as Meghan made her way through the venue, an individual in the crowd shouted: “You’re no princess!” The comment, clearly aimed to insult, disrupted the celebratory atmosphere of the event, which is typically a night to honor athletes and their achievements.

Meghan, known for her composure in public, reportedly handled the situation with grace. Observers noted that she did not visibly react to the heckler’s outburst and continued with her evening.

Her ability to maintain her poise amidst such public scrutiny is a testament to her resilience, something she has often demonstrated in the face of media and public criticism.

The incident quickly became a talking point on social media, with fans of the Duchess rallying to her defense. Many condemned the behavior as inappropriate and disrespectful, especially given the context of the event.

Critics of the Duchess, however, saw the situation differently, with some suggesting it was a reflection of growing public sentiment regarding Meghan and Prince Harry’s controversial departure from royal duties.

The couple has faced polarizing opinions since stepping back from their roles as senior members of the British royal family in 2020 and relocating to California.

Despite the incident, Meghan continued to engage with attendees and was seen mingling with guests. Insiders at the event revealed that she appeared unbothered by the disruption, focusing instead on celebrating the accomplishments of the athletes being honored.

This episode highlights the challenges public figures face, particularly those like Meghan Markle, whose every move is under intense scrutiny.

While she has received overwhelming support from her admirers worldwide, incidents like this serve as a stark reminder of the divisive opinions surrounding her and her royal journey.

As Meghan continues to forge her path outside the traditional royal framework, it’s clear that she remains focused on advocating for causes close to her heart. This resilience, combined with her grace under fire, continues to define her as a figure of public interest and admiration.

Why some viewers refuse to watch Super Bowl 2025

The stage is set for Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, and while fans are excited for the clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, it’s the halftime show that’s stealing the spotlight.

This year, the headliner is none other than Kendrick Lamar, a rapper widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time.

Known for his technical brilliance and thought-provoking lyrics, Lamar is no stranger to the Super Bowl stage, having previously appeared as a guest during the iconic 2022 halftime show featuring Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

But this time, it’s Lamar’s moment to shine, and fans are buzzing. The announcement came in September 2024 alongside a teaser trailer from Apple Music, the official halftime show sponsor.

The black-and-white clip shows Lamar pacing a massive football field, casually remarking, “This field a lot bigger than what it looks.” The teaser also revealed a surprise: Grammy-winning artist SZA will join Lamar for what promises to be a show-stopping performance.

Mixed reactions from fans

While many are thrilled about Lamar taking center stage, reactions online have been a mixed bag.

“Kendrick deserves it,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Back in like 2016 I said Kendrick is the GOAT, I’m happy he has proven me right every step of the way.”

Others, however, weren’t as enthusiastic.

“It’s fine, I suppose, but I don’t watch football, so I probably have no stake. He’s no scandal, generally well-liked, better than TS or something like that lol,” one person shared.

Not everyone is a fan of his live performances either. “I love Kendrick but never found him to be the most fun live performer. Seems like he can’t rap all his verses with that same passion live,” another commented.

For some, Lamar’s presence on the halftime stage is a letdown.

“Why does he get to be there twice? I pay no attention to that kind of music,” one critic shared. Another declared, “Sick of rap at Super Bowl. It is the lowest denominator of music IMHO.”

One particularly harsh take read, “Huge disappointment. Not a fan of Kendrick Lamar at all and this will be the first halftime show I won’t care if I miss.”

Louisiana’s musical roots shine

For those who may not be Kendrick Lamar fans, the NFL has added a lineup of Louisiana-born artists to honor the rich musical heritage of the Super Bowl’s host state.

Jon Batiste, a jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist, will perform the national anthem. “I’m excited to figure out an arrangement that lasts the test of time, and I look forward to sharing it,” Batiste said.

Christian singer Lauren Daigle and jazz musician Trombone Shorty will collaborate on “America the Beautiful,” while R&B legend Ledisi will deliver a powerful rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Lil Wayne speaks out

One person who wasn’t thrilled with Lamar’s selection as the halftime headliner is Louisiana’s own rap icon, Lil Wayne. Many fans had expected Wayne to take the coveted slot in his home state, and the rapper himself had seemingly hoped for the same.

In an emotional Instagram video, Wayne opened up about his disappointment.

“I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown and for automatically mentally putting myself in that position like somebody told me that was my position,” he said.

Reflecting on the magnitude of the moment, Wayne added, “But I thought there was nothing better than that spot and that stage and that platform in my city, so it hurt.”

Kendrick’s response

Lamar, who is known for keeping a low profile, didn’t address Wayne’s comments directly — but his new music may have done the talking for him. On November 22, Lamar surprise-released his sixth album, GNX, which includes the opening track “Wacced Out Murals.”

In the song, Lamar seemingly acknowledges Wayne’s disappointment:
“Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down / Whatever though, call me crazy, everybody questionable.”

Will Kendrick Lamar diss drake during the Super Bowl halftime show?

The tension between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has escalated, with reports claiming that Kendrick plans to perform a controversial track, Not Like Us, at the Super Bowl halftime show. According to The U.S. Sun, the song contains lyrics that seemingly take aim at Drake, even insinuating inappropriate behavior.

Legally, there appears to be nothing Drake can do to prevent Kendrick from performing the song.

The feud between the two rap heavyweights goes back years, rooted in subtle jabs and competitive one-upmanship. It all started with Kendrick’s explosive verse on Big Sean’s Control in 2013, where he called out several rappers, including Drake, challenging them to step up their game. While many saw it as competitive, Drake later hinted in interviews that he felt disrespected.

All eyes on February 9, 2025

As the big day approaches, the buzz around Super Bowl LIX continues to grow. Whether you’re tuning in for the game, the halftime show, or both, one thing is clear—this year’s event promises to be unforgettable.

If you’re ready to catch all the excitement on February 9, Super Bowl LIX will be available to stream on several platforms. You can tune in through the Fox Sports app on iOS or Android, Tubi, FoxSports.com, NFL+, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, FuboTV, or Sling TV.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick: Inside their love story

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are superstars in their own right and we’d all be forgiven for forgetting these two have been married for over three decades.

Kyra was just 12 years old when she first met Kevin, 7 years her senior. She had gone to see a movie with her brother, which starred Bacon, and then met him after.

It wasn’t until a decade later that their paths crossed again on the set of Lemon Sky. Kyra revealed that Bacon wasn’t really her type.

“He definitely wasn’t my type. In fact, I vividly remember looking at his butt when he walked away after we first met and thinking, Well, I guess some girls like that,” Kyra admitted to Wide Open Country.

But she changed her mind and the two married the following year, in 1988.

The couple tied the know in a private ceremony in Connecticut and had a reception for 300 guests at the Manhattan club Au Bar. Kevin and Kyra, who got engaged on Christmas Eve in 1987, only invited friends and family to their reception.

Kevin Bacon children

Shortly after the wedding, they welcomed their first child Travis Sedgwick Bacon. Their other child, Sosie Ruth, was born in 1992.

Sosie follows in the steps of her parents and has starred as Skye Miller in the Netflix teenage drama” 13 Reasons Why”. Travis makes a living as a solo musician and has written the music for his parents’ movie “Story of a Girl.”

Now 34 years later the couple is celebrating their anniversary and couldn’t be happier. The Bacon’s decades-long marriage is something of a miracle in Hollywood.

“If someone had told me that at 22 I was going to meet the man I was going to marry and at 23 I would marry him and have a child, I would have told them they were out of their mind,” Kyra told Redbook in 2008.

Bacon is clearly still as much in love with his star wife, and he always makes sure to celebrate their wedding anniversary. In fact, both Kevin and Kyra often post declarations of love on each of their Instagram accounts.

But their romance hasn’t always been easy.

“The time I was hitting what I considered to be bottom was also the time I met my wife, our kids were born, good things were happening. And I was able to keep supporting myself; that always gave me strength”, Bacon told reporters.

Lost a lot of money

The couple did admit that it hasn’t always been smooth sailing sharing the moment their life savings were lost when in 2008 Bernie Madoff pulled off what was called the largest Ponzi scheme in history.

According to some sources, Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick lost $100 million, but Celebrity Net Worth claims they ”only” lost $30-$40 million.

But they braved the storm as they both had jobs and although lost millions they didn’t lose everything.

“It was a bad day,” Bacon told The Guardian and continued: “But pretty quickly we were able to see all the things we had as opposed to whatever we lost, and those are the biggest cliches: children, health, love, a nice home. So we got through it together. I don’t think about Madoff, like, at all.”

First cousins

In an appearance on the U.S. TV show “Finding Your Roots” Kyra discovered that she and Bacon are ninth cousins, once removed.

A DNA test revealed that the actor and actress were distant cousins, which could give you an odd feeling, and Kevin wasn’t that thrilled.

Kyra claimed” she knew it” but said it was “a little unsettling.” However, she added that she was okay with the revelation, as long as they were not first cousins.

When PBS investigated Kevin’s family ancestry, the show discovered that King Edward I, who fought William Wallace, was his 22nd great grandfather. Kevin joked that his ancestry did not get enough attention, and he also commented on the fact that he and his wife were first cousins.

“I kind of felt like it was a joke at my expense, you know,” he said.
But even though it was a shocking discovery, Kevin and Kyra obviously went on, and their love has grown stronger each year.

Love in quarantine

Recently they’ve had a chance to spend even more time together during quarantine at their LA home.

“I’m doing a little writing, even though I truly don’t have any sense of whether or not I’m any good at it at all,” Kyra told People.

“It really is about just finding something to do. Certainly, I don’t spend time with my husband reading Shakespeare, but we’re watching a lot of stuff and we’re reading. We continue to read stuff. I continue to read. I’m trying to touch into my work on a daily basis, for sure.”

Kyra also admits that no matter where they are her husband always makes her feel special.

“I don’t know how he does it, but he always makes me feel like I’m the most beautiful woman in the room – the only girl in the room,” Kyra told People.

She also credits their incredible spark in the bedroom.

“Sex is really important. That desire is there,” Sedgwick shared with Redbook in 2012.

Bacon gave this advice on how to stay married in a 2015 interview published in Entertainment Weekly. : “Whatever you do, don’t listen to celebrities on advice on how to stay married.”

As for his wife, Sedgwick told Good Housekeeping in 2012 what she loves about her adoring husband.

“He is so honorable. He is so ethically true. He has high moral standards, and he doesn’t lie and he doesn’t cheat—and I find that sexy!” she said. “I am constantly in awe of Kevin’s levelheadedness and his lack of ‘crazy.’”

Bindi Irwin fears for daughter Grace’s health

For a decade, Bindi Irwin kept her battle with endometriosis hidden from the public eye.

Now, she’s opening up about the pain and uncertainty that shaped her journey — not just for herself, but for her daughter Grace’s future health.

Over a decade of hiding her symptoms

Bindi Irwin has truly carved out a name for herself over the years. As the daughter of the legendary Steve Irwin, she had enormous shoes to fill after her father’s untimely passing, but she’s done so with grace and determination.

With her sun-kissed hair, brown eyes, and her dad’s infectious smile, Bindi has become a beloved figure in the world of wildlife conservation.

But her journey to an independent and peaceful life has been marked by shame, pain, and fear. For 10 years, Bindi was in so much pain, fighting an invisible battle every day – but she wore a brave face and pushed herself to be the smiling image everyone expected.

When the lights went off, Bindi spent countless hours trying to maintain a happy front while secretly struggling to stay afloat.

”I lived for more than 10 years trying desperately to hide my symptoms,” she tells 9honey.

Bindi Irwin symptoms

Everything began when Bindi Irwin got her first period. With it came pain, nausea, and fatigue, which only worsened as she got older. Despite this, Bindi tried to carry on with life as usual. She got married in 2020, and from the outside, no one suspected she was suffering in secret.

But Bindi knew something wasn’t right, so she took action several times. She visited doctors, had blood tests, and underwent various tests, but none of this provided clear answers.

“I was tested for cancer. I had MRIs, I had ultrasounds, I had CT scans, just you name it. I was checked for everything,” Bindi once shared.

It even got to the point where her doctor suggested that the pain was all in her head. Without any medical answers, Bindi started to believe the doctor. Maybe it really was all in her mind?

All the stress and pressure took its toll eventually. She struggled mentally and began to withdraw. Her public appearances became less frequent.

Anyone who has been sick without getting any answers can probably relate — you end up feeling very isolated with your symptoms and withdraw from others. You don’t want to talk about it all the time.

That’s why it was such a huge relief when Bindi Irwin was finally diagnosed with endometriosis, an incurable disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.

To put this into perspective, getting a diagnosis takes an average of 6.5 years in Australia. Bindi had waited nearly a decade.

Discovered 37 lesions and a chocolate cyst

In 2023, Bindi took to Instagram to reveal that she had undergone surgery for endometriosis. Looking back, Bindi admitted that she was terrified before pressing ”post” to share her story on Instagram.

”At the end of the day, sharing my story with endometriosis felt so important to me that it outweighed my worry,” she told Honey9.

When the surgeons opened her up, the true cost of going undiagnosed for so long became clear: they discovered 37 lesions and a chocolate cyst, which is a cyst filled with menstrual blood.

Had Bindi gone on for a few more years with her condition, it could have had fatal consequences. It’s not impossible that she might not have made it.

Luckily, Bindi has always had a strong support system at home. Chandler Powell, her husband, an American professional wakeboarder from Florida, held her hand when she was at her lowest.

After her surgery in 2023, Chandler expressed his admiration, saying she is the strongest and toughest person he knows and that he’s excited for the new chapter in their lives.

Terri Irwin, her mother, also provided her with unconditional love.

Will Bindi Irwin have more kids?

Endometriosis can make it harder for women to have children, and according to Honey9, up to 50 percent of people with the disease may experience infertility. Given this, it’s pretty incredible that Bindi Irwin gave birth to a daughter, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, on March 25, 2021.

“Along my pregnancy journey. I would often have times when I thought I was miscarrying because I would have severe unexplained pain. I would think that I was loosing our beautiful daughter,” Bindi said and broke down in tears during an emotional interview with Good Morning America.

Over the years, Bindi has been cautious about sharing her journey to motherhood, but she has talked about the unhealthy pressure and expectations placed on women to have children.

”I get asked if I’m having more kids every. Single. Day,” she says. While she knows most people mean no harm, ”but it can actually be a really hurtful question.”

After all, she’ll be living with this disease for the rest of her life. Bindi Irwin acknowledges that there is still a long road ahead. She feels as though she is still working to rebuild herself into the person she was before endometriosis took so much from her.

Endometriosis can run in families

As Bindi continues to recover, there’s a lingering concern that gnaws at her. It’s known that endometriosis can run in families.

“We know that there are both genetic and environmental influences that drive endometriosis, with 50% genetically related (DNA and genes) and 50% environmental factors, including lifestyle, what we eat, exposure to chemicals and the atmosphere,” Dr. Holdsworth-Carson, a researcher, told The Royal Women’s Hospital.

“There is a very, very big possibility that Grace will have endometriosis, which really does weigh on me,” Bindi says.

It’s truly heartbreaking that Bindi had to endure so much before finally receiving a proper diagnosis. She suffered so long needlessly. I truly hope her daughter, Grace, doesn’t have to face the same struggles. But at least now that the family is aware of the issue, if Grace were to experience similar symptoms, she won’t have to endure the same long and painful journey to get help.

I’m so glad Bindi is sharing her story! Breaking the stigma surrounding endometriosis is half the battle, according to her, and Bindi is doing an amazing job by being so open about it.

Hopefully, her public persona and strong advocacy will help raise awareness, lead to faster diagnoses, and improve treatments. Such a big part of the problem is how much people don’t know what it is or what the signs are.

No woman should have to suffer because some doctors lack knowledge. Share this article if you agree!

Keanu Reeves’ girlfriend, 54, faces mixed reactions after posing in teal cut-out dress on red carpet

They might not be the flashiest couple, not the most controversial, not the most outspoken, and certainly not the most attention loving, but Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant are undeniably adorable.

Keanu and his partner, 54, often make headlines when they step out on a red carpet together, and for the most part almost everything said about them is positive. They’re not the types to do desperate things in order to generate buzz, nor are they guilty of playing up for cameras for better publicity.

No, there’s something undeniably down-to-earth about the couple, which is a notably rare trait in the glitz-and-glam world of Hollywood. They’re genuine and they seem to be very much in love, so it’s small wonder that people are happy every time they make an appearance.

And yet even that’s not enough to stop critics weighing in, apparently.

Keanu and Alexandra recently stepped out at the MOCA Gala, the latter donning a striking teal cut-out dress to contrast with the former’s dark suit and scarf combo, and they certainly turned heads in the process.

There were a lot of compliments sent Alexandra’s way, though there were those who voiced negative opinions over her dress’s presentation.

One person wrote: “Her dress was completely wrinkled. I can’t believe it. I’m just saying, why didn’t she steam it? Why do this?”

Another added: “Well, at least she is a woman; iron your dress.”

The rich & famous have everything they can want & insist on dressing sloppy. As if to say I’m down to earth. COME ON!!!!” a third said.

Keanu and his mother,” a fourth cruelly wrote.

The couple’s relationship dates back to 2009, when they first met at a dinner party. The pair eventually collaborated on a book titled Ode to Happiness in 2011, with Reeves as the author and Grant as the illustrator.

Despite keeping their romance private for many years, they made their official debut as a couple at the LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci in 2019.

Known for their low-key lifestyle, the couple prefers intimate gatherings at home over extravagant events, according to sources close to them, per People. Described as “homebodies,” they reportedly like to cherish their time together and prioritize moments that truly matter to them.

Inside the tough and challenging life of Pattie Mallette

Pattie Mellette is a scriptwriter and producer – but today, she’s most known as the mother of pop sensation Justin Beiber.

However, few people know much about her and the challenges she has faced over the course of her life…

Justin Bieber is one of the biggest stars in the world, and in the eyes of many, the Canadian star has everything you can wish for.

But even famous people have issues and suffer crises – often without the public’s full awareness. Justin Bieber’s relationship with his mother, Pattie Malette, has been rocky – and considering her tough background, it’s not too shocking that things got complicated.

Pattie Mallette was born on April 2, 1975, in Stratford, Ontario, and comes from a French-Canadian background. Tragically, her early childhood was marked by an unimaginable loss. When Pattie was just 2 years old, her 5-year-old sister, Sally, was struck by a car while crossing the street and sadly lost her life. This devastating event would forever leave its mark on Pattie’s family and her early years.

Pattie gave birth to Justin at the young age of 17. She was single at the time and was not unfamiliar with dealing with obstacles. According to Daily Mail, Pattie raised Justin all by herself in a low-income housing space in Canada. She had some help from her parents, Justin’s grandparents.

According to Pattie, she dealt with years and various instances of abuse and violence, starting at the age of 3. She explained:

“My offenders include a male babysitter, the grandfather of one of my friends, and neighborhood children reportedly mature beyond their years,” she says.

As she grew to the age of 14, she began to use different substances. Around this time, she was also beginning to shoplift at stores and was expelled from her school for starting a fire in the bathroom. Sadly, the book sexual abuse continued. In her book, Patti describes date rape at age 15.

”I was sexually violated so many times that as the years went by it began to feel normal. It’s a strange marriage – knowing something is wrong yet at the same time finding it familiar and commonplace,” she said.

As a child, Mallette developed a passion for acting and singing. By the age of nine, she was making appearances on local TV shows, such as Romper Room and Big Top Talent, a children’s talent program broadcast in her area.

At the age of 15, she began dating Jeremy Beiber. Their relationship lasted for four years, but the teen ran away from home at 16 years old. She scraped by through theft and selling drugs.

”My life was really painful as a child,” Mallette told George Stroumboulopoulos, as quoted by Cosmopolitan. ”I had a love for the arts that I share with Justin, and we kinda bond over that.”

With her past and current habits catching up to her, her mental health deteriorated further.

After a long period of despair and suicidal thoughts, the 17-year-old tried to take her own life. She was committed to a mental institution that used Christian conversion therapy.

After being released from the hospital, Mallette reached out to former friends and coworkers who did not follow the same newly discovered religion she had found. This was when she reconnected with Jeremy Beiber once more.

After the couple began dating for six months, Pattie realized she was pregnant. Justin was born in London, Ontario, on March 1, 1994.

While Pattie and Jeremy at first continued to date after the birth of their son, they eventually decided to break up after just a few months.

Despite all of the hardship she had experienced, Pattie was a supportive and present mother. She helped Justin as he pursued his musical interests, eventually helping him to enter the 2007 Stratford Star talent competition when Justin was a teenager.

The now-star singer placed second for his rendition of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” and Pattie posted the video of his winning performance on Youtube. The video, in addition to the subsequent ones she continued to post online, gained much popularity over time.

Mallette’s autobiography was published in September of 2012 by the Christian publishing house Revell.

The book, titled “Nowhere But Up,” focused on not just Pattie’s difficult upbringing but also how she used faith and love to gain optimism and be the best single parent she could be for her son.

Today, their relationship has changed.

”When your kids hit a certain age your parenting style changes and it is hard letting go,” Mallette told People in 2013, when her son turned 19 years old.

”His life was my life and now I’ve had to let him go a little bit and let him be independent. It is hard to not be able to control everything that your adult child does.”

After his enormous breakthrough, Justin Bieber was facing trouble with the law. He got arrested back in 2014 when police officers were forced to pull him over around 4 a.m. while he was street racing.

That incident led to a rift in the mother-son relationship.

”I never wanted my mom to be disappointed in me and I knew she was. We spent some time not talking, so it takes time to rebuild that trust… it’s hard, but getting better. She’s an amazing woman and I love her,” the star told Billboard in 2015, as quoted by Cosmopolitan.

But today, that period in Justin’s life is almost forgotten, and Pattie is very proud of her son.

“I’m so proud of the amazing young man you are, and the young man you are becoming. None of us are perfect and never will be, (so we will always need patience and grace for each other), but your genuine growing relationship with Jesus is evident in the choices you are making daily and the good ‘fruit’ you bear. I admire your character and integrity. You are maturing beautifully and wise beyond your years,” she shared on Instagram.

While Pattie was certainly challenged throughout her younger years, her turn to grace is truly an inspiration. Share this story on Facebook if you agree!
